Step 1 · Customer Affordability

How much chit can you comfortably carry?

Three ways to reach the same answer. Start from your salary, from the instalment you are happy paying, or from the amount you need. Every figure updates as you type.

Your monthly position

We allow 50% of your surplus income towards a chit, so the commitment stays comfortable alongside everything else you pay.

Steps 3, 4 & 5 · Auction, Dividend & Prize Money

What happens at the auction

Set the discount a member bids and see the prize money they take home, the commission we charge, and the dividend that comes back to every other member.

You pay ₹3,000 less than this month — this is why a chit subscription falls as the group matures. Every member shares the discount, not just the person who took the chit.

Want to see the whole cycle? Project every month at this same discount — what you pay in, and what comes back.

This projection assumes a constant auction discount for illustration. In a real group the discount falls as the months pass, because fewer members still need the money — so your later subscriptions will usually be higher than shown here, and your total dividend lower. Month 1 has no auction; the first subscription goes to the company and includes the one-time ₹500 enrolment charge.

This calculator is a guide, not an offer. All figures are indicative and depend on the actual bidding at each auction, which varies month to month with the members' decisions. Vetrivaagai caps bidding at 30% and charges a 5% foreman commission. Please read all documents carefully before investing. Terms & conditions apply as per company norms; the company's decision will be final. Regulated under the Chit Funds Act, 1982.
